If you do manage to find a place to download the software from.. You'll still end up having to pay for it. Considering you'll need CD/Serial/Keys to unlock the software beyond that of a 7-30 day trial period.
use google and search for free keys. Use yahoo and type this download.pcstars.com.cn, you will see some free keys download for av or suit I dunno how long they will last cuz it's been awhile, but is free for one year from china. Is a legit site.

I am very interested in these answers because I have the same problem BUT gents who have already answered. AVG is no longer free!! Starting on 2/18 whoever is on a free program will either have to upgrade or end their program. I have gone to the new site and even tho AVG ''SAYS''it will continue offering their anti-virus ware free--I sure can't find it on their site. I am really tired of their ''definitions'' waiting for me every morning when I go on-line. I have RAM full of AVG logs and don't know how to delete them--yet. There's plenty of free anti-virus ware out there--Try Bob Rankin or Leo Nodestrom, or PC World or Jeh's Freeware. Just Google FREE anti-virus ware and take your pick.

Those are ok, but the best freeware is from AVG www.grisoft.com they have virus and spyware for free, you can also get free antivirus from roadrunner, they also offer a free firewall.

u need a good video card or graphics card along with 512mb ram minimum, do not disable anti virus game will have common virus in them.
Right click on the AVG icon in the taskbar and click on ''guit avg control centre''

But I think its highly unlikely that avg is doing that..It sounds more like your graphics card isn't up to running the game..

Go into start then run and type in dxdiag and try altering the settings..Keep a record of default settings so you can edit them back..
Open the Control Center, double click the Resident Shield and remove the checkmark next to the Turn on AVG Resident Shield. WARNING, any program that asks you to disable AV is HIGHLY suspicious,and will probably infect you.

AVG is the best program to use. I spent 4 DAYS trying to remove a virus from my computer with no success. Yes, their Spyware Doctor is one of the best paid antispyware, and the free Spyware Doctor Starter Edition is almost as good.
